The Lord says in Zechariah 1:14, "My love for Jerusalem and Mount Zion is PASSIONATE and STRONG ! " If you are saved then you are part of Jerusalem and Mount Zion.* Therefore you can know the Lord has a very strong and passionate love for you! And check this Out... In Zech. 2:5, it says, "Then I, myself, will be a protective wall of fire around Jerusalem, says the Lord. And I will be the glory inside the city!’” So, THERE YOU HAVE IT! A wonderful prayer to pray for your house, for your friends' and loved ones' houses, too. And --> how about praying it for Jerusalem?
Dear God, as you promised that you would one day make Jerusalem a very safe place, we pray right now that you would do it very soon Lord. Not just for Jerusalem, but for my home, and also for the homes of [insert their names here]. Lord, as you promised, be that WALL OF FIRE around Jerusalem, and around our homes... and be the glory inside of us individually, and inside our homes. And Lord, may your wall of fire surround us everywhere we go as we leave our homes each day. Amen, and amen.
* Joel 2:32... And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call. |

INTRO The Old Testament gives us some "Permanent Laws and Requirements". God's people were instructed that each of these was a "permanent law that must be observed from generation to generation." I have been asking myself, "If the Old Testament says it's Permanent, then does it even go beyond the Old Testament, into the time of OUR NEW COVENANT with God (New Testament times), after the Veil of the Temple was split in two? Well, I do not claim to have the answer to that question. But one thing I can be certain of, is this --> Many of the guidelines in the Old Testament are types and shadows of what we need to know TODAY. And for good reason. So, today, I want to look at one of those permanent laws, concerning the clothing of the priests.
